Plan B Skateboards was a
skateboarding team founded
in 1991 by Mike Ternasky. The
team was comprised of many
(already) pro skateboarders
who were chosen specifically.
The team was regarded as
one of the most influential of
the 1990's, due to
their.innovations both in
skateboarding and in the use
of skateboarding videos.
Ternasky was tragically killed
in a car accident in 1994,
which had a devastating effect
on a majority of the team. The
brand's rights were then
handed over to Danny Way
and Colin McKay but because
of the tragic association with
the "Plan-B" title, the company
basically ceased to exist. Mike
played such an important role
in the overall direction of the
company that there seemed to
be no use in reformation, and
hence a 10 year
disappearance.
